What is Leela?
Leela is an ancient Vedic instrument for self-awareness and guidance, enclosed in a “table-game” kind of playing field of 72 cells.
It is played with a dice. Each cell has a name and a meaning, containing information for the player. Moving through the game field, we receive a message from spiritual guides, giving a voluminous answer to the player’s request. Due to this mechanism it has a therapeutic impact. It shows mind traps and makes them unable to influence a persons behaviour anymore. Also it helps to find a solution or a root cause of a challenge in life, through all aspects. It can help people to connect with themself and to be more aware and conscience about their feelings, choices and decisions.
An ancient Instrument
No one knows for sure by who and when exactly it was created. Considering the depth of its content, it is probably the result of centuries of work of Indian clergy. The first mention of the game is more than 2000 years old. Just as any valuable knowledge, Leela has stood the test of time, gaining popularity again in the modern world. Leela fields can be found in historical museums in different countries. Their appearance has changed many times, retaining the imprints of the beliefs and understandings of various people. Leela is familiar and well known to children under the names "snakes and ladders" or "snakes and arrows." In this variant, it is played in a race, just for fun, with no idea of its true potential. But how can a 2000 year old game help people today? The answer is - the same way. Even if our world looks very different from the ancient one, our problems mostly remain the same: Love, Health, Family, Wealth, Work, Friends, Desire, Passion, Trauma, Stress, etc - that makes Leela relevant at all times.

Psychology? Esoteric?
Leela is an ancient mystical instrument. That means - no one can exactly say how it works. At the same time, if its applied correctly, it has a strong therapeutic effect, which can sometimes replace several sessions with psychotherapist. That makes Leela both - an esoteric and a psychotherapeutic instrument.

A modern Application
Since Leela is the essence of Vedic knowledge, all the names and meanings of the cells are originally written in Sanskrit. It is an ancient, spiritual and very complex language, partly lost and no longer used. Some of its words can have several meanings and change diametrically in it, being part of a sentence. In addition to the translation difficulties, there were other nuances - how to adapt such a powerful tool to the needs of a modern person? Sacred texts in their original form looked too metaphorical and religious. In this way it was impossible to use the game.
In 1999, the orientalist Harish Johari presented to the world his book "Leela - the mastery of life", in English and Hindi. Despite all the work and attempts to simplify complicated, Leela still remained inaccessible to people who are far from everything vedic.
We might never have known about this mystical instrument if it had not fallen into the hands of a Russian traveler Vladimir Skobelev. He saw that the game works and can help thousands of people if only adapt it to modern generations. After a few productive years he introduced his understanding of the cells meanings, making Leela once and forever usable.
Later he founded a school for Leela guides, where mastery of game leading was protected from any possible distortions. The priorities of the school are accuracy, depth and clarity of the process.
I am a certified graduate of this school, staying true to its values and continuing to explore the potential of Leela. By offering games as well online, im trying to make it easily available to everyone.
